It was one of the fist things on God's mind to instruct us with....right up there with "Don't eat that fruit"! Since He hasn't told us that He's changed His mind, we should probably be paying attention to that. Ya think?

And that is only the begining. The Bible is full of the call for us to be good stewards of what we receive from God. We are constantly directed to be givers and not takers from the world we are in.

Some may argue that eventually the world will be destroyed no matter what we do; therefore we have no duty or obligation to take care of it. REALLY? Well, in that case, let's quit trying to win the world for Christ, since we know that 'few there be that find it', and many will be lost and undone without God for eternity. The case just doesn't make sense.

The psalmist said, " The firmament shows His handiwork." If for no other reason, we should be especially careful not to mar or disrespect God's masterpiece. Now that would be downright shameful!

Finally, even the Earth recycles. God designed this incredible place to renew and regenerate itself. Just an elementary understanding of how the water cycle recycles and filters Earth's water, or how hurricanes help renew coastlands and wetlands, or how natural forest fires actually revitalize the land, or how plants are nurished by reusing other plants that decay, or how earthquakes are evidence of the movement of tetonic plates recycling the Earth's crust and resulting in long-term climate change, or.......

Okay, the point is clear and the evidence is overwhelming. God has this thing about keeping this place up. So what are you standing there for? Get up and GO GREEN!JonTravishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06857115013474520465noreply@blogger.com
